A facility an hour outside of Albany, NY is looking for a locum tenens Pathology Assistant to assist with a maternity leave starting on May 20th. Candidates must be ASCP certified to apply. Credentialing will take approximately 30 days.

About the clinician's workday

Cases are small biopsies, benign uteri, colon resections benign and malignant, placentas, toes, breast lumpectomies and mastectomy specimens, oriented skin resections, gallbladders, appendices as well as fresh needle core biopsies for lymphoma workup (need to do touch prep and submit for flow cytometry). Grossing is required.

• Support staff: 1 PA, Histotechs trained on grossing small biopsies
