About the clinician's workday

This position is a Monday-Friday role from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the hospital lab, and requires a certified Pathologists Assistant with ASCP (PA) credentials, equivalent certifications are not accepted. The Pathologists Assistant is responsible for preparing, grossing, and dissecting surgical pathology specimens, as well as performing postmortem examinations under the direction of the pathologists while supporting the hospitals mission and laboratory goals. The role requires strong independent judgment, careful organization, and precise specimen collection and labeling. Candidates must be adaptable in emergencies, able to work additional hours when needed, and maintain accuracy and alertness during extended or highstress periods. Knowledge of HIS and LIS systems and relevant laboratory instrumentation is also essential.
