Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Specialty: Ambulatory Surgery
Start Date: 01-05-26
Length: Open-ended (client prefers ongoing coverage)
Schedule and Coverage
Shift Coverage: Scheduled + No Call
Shift Schedule: Standard 5, Day (8 Hours) 07:00 – 16:00
Schedule Details:
Monday–Friday, 40-hour work week
Procedures begin at 7:30 AM; CRNA must be on-site by 7:00 AM
Occasional overtime (paid at time and a half for hours over 40/week or 8/day)

General Job Responsibilities
Independently administer anesthesia for outpatient surgical procedures
Perform nerve blocks and spinal blocks
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe anesthesia care
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards
Skills
Comfortable practicing independently
Proficient in nerve blocks
Case types include:
General surgery, hernias, eyes, ears, sinus, ortho general, colonoscopies
No urology cases
Neuro ortho surgery one day/month (may be covered by another provider)
Annual case volume: ~2800 procedures
Minimum Education Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
License & Certifications
Active Alaska CRNA license preferred
Willing to license
DEA – Required
CSR – Required
Experience
Experience with outpatient procedures preferred
Must be comfortable working independently
Credentialing timeframe: Can be completed in days (Alaska performs primary source verification)
