Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Specialty: High-Acuity Surgical Anesthesia
Start Date: 11-17-25
Length: 6 months
Schedule and Coverage
Shift Coverage: Scheduled + No Call
Shift Schedule Options:
5x8, 4x10, or 3x12
Shifts may include: 7:00–3:30, 7:00–5:30, or 9:00–9:00 (New Haven only)
Providers must be available for all shift types and any 3 days/week (including Fridays)
Extra weekend shifts may be requested
No guarantee of consistent 12-hour shifts

General Job Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care for high-acuity surgical cases
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards
Skills
Must be comfortable with all of the following specialties:
General, Ortho, Cardiovascular, Neurosurgery, Gastro, Urologic, Gynecologic, Ophthalmologic, ENT, and healthy pediatrics
Must be able to manage complex cases in a high-volume academic setting
Minimum Education Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
License & Certifications
Active state CRNA license preferred
Willing to license
DEA – Required
BLS and ACLS – Required
CSR – Not required
Experience
Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience (no exceptions)
Must have clean background (no malpractice or licensure issues)
Credentialing timeframe: ~120 days
Physician references required from every prior CRNA practice site
References may include surgical chair, anesthesiology chair, or direct physician supervisor
