Job description
Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Specialty: Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia
Start Date: ASAP
Length: 3–6 months
Schedule and Coverage
Shift Coverage: Scheduled + On Call
Shift Schedule: 4x10s per week
Call Frequency:
1 weekend call shift/month
2 weeknight call shifts/month
Option to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday regular shift every 3 months in place of one call shift
Daily Hours: May vary between 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM depending on patient load
Scheduling: 6-week schedules provided
Hourly Guarantee: Can be discussed

General Job Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care for pediatric cardiac patients
Work with adolescent, child, adult, and geriatric populations (90%+ over age 12)
Perform spinal blocks; no epidurals or central lines
Occasionally perform arterial lines (not required)
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards
Skills
Pediatric experience required
Must be willing to see cardiac patients
Preferred background in congenital cardiac anesthesia
Experience with neonatal pediatrics, complex medical disease, and high-acuity cases
Must be comfortable with complex procedures
Minimum Education Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
License & Certifications
Active DC license required (priority given to licensed candidates)
DEA – Required
CSR – Required
PALS – Required
Willing to license
Experience
Minimum 3 years preferred (will consider candidates with 6+ months)
Pediatric experience is mandatory
Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days
