Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Specialty: Anesthesia
Start Date: 11-10-25
Length: 6–12 months (facility prefers long-term contracts; need is for continuous coverage)
Schedule and Coverage
Shift Coverage: Scheduled + On Call
Shift Schedule: 40 hours/week, mix of 8s, 10s, 12s, plus one 24-hour and one 16-hour shift weekly
Call Frequency:
1 weekend call shift/month
2 weeknight call shifts/month
Option to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday regular shift every 3 months in place of one call shift
Scheduling: Locums receive 6-week schedules in advance

General Job Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care under a supervision-based model (max 4:1 ratio)
Perform spinal blocks; occasional arterial lines (not required)
No epidurals or central lines
Work across multiple departments including ORs, cath labs, endo, radiology, and specials
Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards
Skills
Comfortable with Level II Trauma cases
Experience in:
GYN, general surgery, ortho, spine, crani, plastics, lungs
Healthy peds, eye, GI, structural hearts, EP, endo
Interventional radiology, MRI
No experience required in: burns, transplants, open heart, sick peds, or OB
Must be proficient in spinal blocks
Minimum Education Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
License & Certifications
Board Certification (NBCRNA) – Required
DEA – Required
CSR – Required
ACLS (AHA only) – Required
Open to licensing
Must enroll in INPCF
Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered)
Credentialing timeframe:
30–45 days if licensed
Up to 90–120 days if pending license
