Job description

I’m working with a health system in Southern Illinois that is seeking Locum CRNAs to start as soon as credentialed for an ongoing assignment through 2027.

This opportunity offers strong compensation, flexible scheduling, and a diverse case mix across multiple facilities.

Here’s a quick snapshot of the opportunity:
Location: Southern Illinois (Herrin area)
Start Date: 4/6/2026 (or ASAP after credentialing)
Assignment Length: Through 4/6/2027 (ongoing)
Licensing: Active IL license required
Credentialing: ~90 days
Practice Setting: Multi-site health system (hospital + ASC)

• Flexible scheduling options
• 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts available
• Backup beeper call
• Call premiums available

Facility Overview
• 6 facilities across the region
• Level II trauma center (main hospital)
• Additional community hospitals and ASC settings
• 7 MDs and ~29 CRNAs daily
• ~75 cases per day across system

Case Mix
• Neuro
• Open heart
• General surgery
• Orthopedic
• Plastics
• Healthy pediatric cases
CRNAs have the opportunity to perform blocks if desired.

Practice Model
Mix of medical direction and autonomous practice depending on site.
Systems
Epic EMR

Requirements
• Board Certified CRNA (AANA)
• Active Illinois CRNA License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Comfortable with diverse case mix

• Flexible scheduling—8s, 10s, or 12s—and a really diverse case mix including neuro, cardiac, ortho, and general.
