Mental Health Coordinator - Early Childhood Education

Job description

As a Mental Health Coordinator within St. Anne’s Early Childhood Education department, you will directly impact young children, ages 0-5 years old. The Mental Health Coordinator will perform a full range of casework, oversight, & related service activities, such as assessing client needs and developing and implementing intervention plans to meet participant needs.

Duties Include:
Reviewing developmental & behavioral screening results
Performing necessary follow-ups
Managing in-house referrals & confirming the need, while obtaining inform consent from caregivers
Providing mental health psychoeducation & consultation to parents & staff
Guiding and implementing strategies to personalize programming & address mental health related functional impairments
Evaluate learning environments & group connections, conducting home visits to recommend interventions
Assisting in unusual incident follow-up & urgent mental health

Other Requirements:
Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Services (BBS) or the ability to be registered
Ability to be coached and guided by 1 to 2 Licensed Clinical Supervisors
3 years’ experience in management or direct services with young children
Ability to manage and oversee mental health services
Strong clinical skills in individual, group, and family therapy
Proficiency in English
Traveling to all centers in all service areas, as needed
Valid California Class C Driver’s License
Valid automobile insurance

Preferred Skills:
Bilingual English, Spanish, Tagalog, and/or Korean preferred
Strong written & verbal skills
Experience working with Child Plus program
Proficient computer, data entry, & clerical skills
Excellent interpersonal & collaborative skills with the ability to relate well to children & adults across many socioeconomic & cultural backgrounds
Leadership ability
