Electrophysiology MD needed in TN!
Job description
• Coverage needed per month: Hourly & Call. 1 week per month, Monday-Friday (hourly), 1 weekend of call per month, Saturday & Sunday
• Frequency of any Call needed: 1 weekend per month, weekend call runs Friday 6p-Monday 7a. Some general cardiology coverage.
• Schedule Details: Monday-Friday approximately 7am-6pm with some variation based on inpatient service needs. Hospital-based coverage is predominant. 24hr weekend Call begins Friday 6p through Monday 7a.
-Work Details:
• Support staff: 1 Electrophysiology APP provided to assist with hospital-based services
• Department Description: Electrophysiology
• Patient Volume: Inpatient service: Approximately 15 patients, with 2–3 device implants per day
• Patient Age Group: 18+
• EMR/Documentation System: Epic
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Predominantly inpatient implantable cardiac devices and ablative therapies as needed. Additional procedures include: Implantable Loop Recorders (ILRs), Cardioversions with moderate sedation
• Special Equipment Used: CARTO mapping system, Abbott mapping system, Opal HDx mapping system
-Requirements:
• Board Certified in Electrophysiology
• Which State License Req’d?: TN
• Certifications Req’d?: BLS / ACLS
• DEA Req’d?: Yes, unless physician will be non-prescribing (DEA exemption form may be signed if non-prescribing)
• Minimum Experience Req’d: 2 years minimum
• Are vaccines mandatory?: Yes
- MMR: Record of 2 doses or positive lab titers with numeric values (“immune” or “positive” not acceptable)
- Varicella: Record of 2 doses or positive lab titers with numeric values (“immune” or “positive” not acceptable)
- Flu: Required during flu season
- TB: TB skin test, QuantiFERON, or clear chest X-ray within the past year. (If TB skin test is used for credentialing, a second test is required for activation. If QuantiFERON or chest X-ray dated within the previous 3 months is provided, a second test is not required)
-Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: 60-90 days
