Child & Adolescent Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services needed in Baltimore, MD

Seeking a full-time Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a thriving faculty within the Baltimore, MD area.

• The Medical Director will be responsible for clinical oversight of the programs in addition to providing direct care to patients. They will work closely with their administrative dyad partner in the Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services at Carroll. The team has a direct reporting relationship to the Chair of the Department, and the VP of Behavioral Health
.
• It is the strategic vision of the health system to build a Center of Excellence for Child and Adolescent Mental Health and is looking for a driven, dynamic, and future oriented clinician administrator to partner in this.

Clinical:

Provide clinical care to adolescents and adults on different services. The scope and allocation of time for clinical activity will be discussed in more detail during the interview process. 12-14 daily patient average, primarily inpatient

Administrative:

Collaborate with health system leadership in understanding community needs and the strategic vision to develop clinical programs across the care spectrum.
Actively recruit and retain staff for teams across different disciplines.
Review to ensure regulatory preparedness and compliance of the programs
Ensure clinical documentation and associated charges are completed in a timely manner aligned with departmental policies.
Oversight of the call schedule for clinicians
Supervision and oversight of APPs

Requirements:

BC Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist eligible for a Maryland State Medical License & DEA at the time of appointment.

Preferably 3 years of work experience in child psychiatry
