Job description

Position: Outpatient Psychiatrist (FT or PT – All Ages)
Commitment: 6 months

Schedule Options:

Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time considered)

4 x 10-hour days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 30-minute unpaid lunch) – Monday through Thursday

Preferred schedule; includes morning and afternoon planning time

Option for 5 x 8-hour days

Setting: 100% Outpatient
Patient Population:

All ages: ~60% adults, ~40% children/adolescents

Youngest seen: age 5–6 (no prescribing until school-aged)

Appointment Structure:

Adults: 60-min evaluations; 15-min med checks

Children/Adolescents: 60-min evaluations; 15–20 min med checks

Transfer Patients: 40-min med checks

Caseload:

2 new evaluations/day (typically 1 in the morning)

Remainder of the day: med checks

Small % of high-acuity or SMI cases with extended time allotted

Work Environment:

On-site or Hybrid model

Rotating schedule across one assigned region

Support Staff:

Nurses

Patient Navigators

Strong team-based structure

Credentialing: 3 weeks
EMR: Streamline
Board Certification: Not required
