Employment Type: Contract
Compensation:

✅ Key Qualifications
✔️ Licensure: Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license (MD or DO)
✔️ Experience: Treating adults with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health conditions, including maladaptive or self-injurious behaviors
✔️ Hospital Privileges: Admitting privileges (or ability to obtain) at Meritus Medical Center
✔️ Clearances: CJIS state/federal background check, recent medical exam, TB test
✔️ Professional Requirements: NPI, CMS Certification Number, at least 3 professional references, maintain certifications and good standing

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ On-Site Services (min. 6 hours/week):
- Comprehensive H&P for new admissions and annual evaluations
- Routine sick calls, episodic care, and monthly medication reviews
- Develop physician orders, progress notes, and care plans
- Ensure compliance with ICF/ID licensure and federal Title XIX standards
- Initiate consultations and hospital referrals as needed
- Guide nursing and facility staff on resident-specific care

✔️ On-Call Duties:
- 24/7 coverage for emergencies, new admissions, and urgent clinical questions
- Respond within 1 hour; provide daily availability from 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Assist with emergency hospital placements and coordinate substitute coverage if needed
