Family Therapist needed in Pike, NH

Job description

Job Summary
Mount Prospect Academy (MPA) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Therapist/Clinician to join our team in Pike, NH. This full-time role provides culturally sensitive, trauma-informed therapy to adolescents and their caregivers in both home and residential settings.

As a Family Therapist (FT), you’ll use evidence-based practices (EBPs) to support youth and families in overcoming challenges, building resilience, and achieving long-term success. Therapy is delivered in dynamic environments—outside the traditional office setting—such as the residential milieu or family homes, depending on the student’s needs.

FTs play a central role in treatment planning, family engagement, and permanency efforts. You’ll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, train staff in therapeutic approaches, and document progress using SOAP notes in Kaleidacare. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking meaningful work in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family therapy in home and residential settings
- Develop and present assessments and treatment plans to teams and stakeholders
- Facilitate restorative justice and trauma-informed interventions
- Collaborate with caregivers, faculty, and referral sources to support treatment goals
- Train staff on evidence-based family therapy practices
- Support crisis intervention and permanency planning
- Maintain clinical documentation and compliance with state and agency standards
- Prepare reports including safety plans, court reports, and progress updates
- Participate in professional development and uphold AAMFT Code of Ethics
- Contribute to program development through research and training

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience with adolescents and families (including internships)
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and EBPs preferred
- Must pass background check
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
