Cognitive Behavioral Therapist for Naval Medical Center, Camp Lejeune Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP)
The primary objectives of the SARP are to promote readiness, health, and wellness through the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and to prevent the negative consequences of substance abuse to the individual, family, and organization.

Qualifications:
Degree/Education : Possess a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, psychiatry, nursing or related field from an accredited university. Provider types include LCSW, LISW, LMFT, MHNP, Clinical Psychologist, LPC, etc.
Certifications: Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (or willing to get certified before starting)
License: License to practice Independently in any US state
Additional Certification: Must maintain current BLS Provider, hands-on course through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience:  Possess a minimum of one year experience as a Cognitive/Behavioral Therapist within the last three years.

Duties:
-Provide a full range of counseling as it relates to cognitive and behavior therapy.
-Administer programs of treatment to mentally and emotionally disturbed individuals’ adjustments to life.
-Assist in treating rehabilitation patients.
-Treat individuals in times of personal crisis such as a divorce or death of a loved one.
-Interview patients and study medical and social case histories
-Exercise appropriate clinical delegation of tasks and duties in the direction and coordination of health care team members, patient care and clinic activities.
-Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed. Participation shall include, but not limited to, appropriate medical examination, documentation and reporting.
-Participate in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Provide training and/or clinical direction as applicable to supporting government employees
