Job Title : CI -Psychiatrist
Location: Niantic CT
Duration: Long term

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct inpatient psychiatric treatment to female incarcerated population within the only female correctional facility within the Client
• Work within the interdisciplinary team to provide acute care psychiatric stabilization and care and prepare inmates for entry, or return, to general population setting or step down to intensive mental health services.
• Position will be sole psychiatrist for this unit within the larger institution comprised of a robust behavioral health team of psychologists, clinical social workers and professional counselors, along with psychiatric APRNs who provide outpatient services.
• Must be comfortable utilizing an electronic health record, submission/entry of psychiatry orders, completing initial psychiatric evaluations and ordering emergency medications as clinically indicated.
• May also need to assist other staff with crisis evaluations as needed.
