New Opportunity Located in Northeast MA with Aya Locums: Critical Care NP/PA

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Critical Care NP/PA for a locum assignment at a teaching hospital in Northeast Massachusetts.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: August 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Coverage Type: Full-Time Scheduled Clinical Hours
• Schedule: Rotating days/nights with rotational weekends and holidays
• Shift Details: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Notes: Friday night shifts count as weekend coverage

Work Details
• Support Staff: 4 APPs onsite; physician supervision during day shifts, fellow/attending supervision during night shifts
• Patient Volume: Average daily census of 7
• Patient Population: Adult
• Department Description: ICU and med/surg coverage with occasional burn patients (1–2 patients)
• Responsibilities: Responding clinician role only; no procedures required
• Procedures: None – no intubations, lines, vent management, transplants, ECHO, neuro heads, EVDs, or complex neuro stroke cases
• EMR: Epic

Requirements
• Board Certification: Acute Care NP certification required with ICU experience
• License: Active Massachusetts license required
• DEA: Required
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of critical care experience required
