Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Critical Care/Intensive Care in CA

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care to join our healthcare team. This position will be based at Dolbeer St Eureka, CA, and will primarily work in an inpatient setting, providing care to critically ill patients. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Critical Care/Intensive Care unit.
Perform comprehensive assessments and physical examinations of patients.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients based on assessment findings and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, and make appropriate adjustments to the care plan as necessary.
Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Document all patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner using the EMR system (Epic).
Adhere to established protocols, guidelines, and standards of care in the Critical Care/Intensive Care unit.
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification and current licensure in the state of California.
