Locums Diagnostic Radiologist - Weekends - CA license

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologist to provide locum services for a busy inpatient imaging practice. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking consistent weekend coverage in a high-volume hospital setting. Coverage is needed beginning late November 2025 for an ongoing contract with potential for long-term placement.

🏥 Job Details
Setting: Acute care hospital

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (10-hour shifts)

Coverage: Scheduled shifts only; no call required

Shift Commitment: At least one weekend per month, with preference for more

Patient Volume: 150–180 studies per weekend day

Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Modalities: CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films (no nuclear medicine, cardiac, or breast)

Focus Areas: General diagnostic imaging; preference for body imaging

Procedures: No interventions expected

Systems: EMR: Epic

📋 Requirements
Board Certification: Required in Radiology

License: Active, unrestricted state license (California required)

Certifications: BLS or ACLS; DEA required

Experience: Minimum 1 year post-training; must be comfortable with high-volume weekend reads

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30+ days; onsite training required prior to start
