Overnight Locums Remote Diagnostic Radiology Coverage 2/weeks a Month NEEDED

Job description

Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology (Telemedicine)
Position: Remote overnight diagnostic radiologist — CT & general diagnostic reads across multiple facilities
Start: July–August (depends on credentialing)
Contract: 6–12 months (candidate must commit to specified length)
Schedule: Overnight, 10:00 PM–7:00 AM; coverage Mon–Sun, even distribution of nights
Minimum commitment: Must work at least 2 weeks/month (flexibility may be reconsidered)
Work setting: Fast-paced ER-style overnight workflow, primarily real-time STAT reads, minimal backlog
Facilities covered: 2 hospitals in College Station and 7 hospitals in greater Austin
Case mix / volume (Nov–Feb):
College Station: ~6,501 studies total; est. 50–55 studies/night; ~48% CT, ~41% X‑ray, ~11% US, minimal MRI; ~90% STAT
Greater Austin: ~12,818 studies total; est. 100–110 studies/night; ~44% CT, ~44% X‑ray, ~10% US, minimal MRI/NM/MG; ~80%+ STAT
Volume consistent night-to-night, limited advanced/complex modalities
Modalities: CT, X‑ray (primary); ultrasound limited; MRI/NM/MG minimal
Board certification: Required
State license: Texas required (IMLC accepted) — employer will license only via IMLC
Credentialing: Expedited but typically ~135 days
Interview/process: Expedited — interviews and decisions within 24–48 hours; candidates meet regional radiology leader and CMO
Systems: EMR: Epic; PACS: Visage
