Emergency Med Physician Needed in Minnesota!

Job Description:
• APP or Physician
• BC or BE; experience is most important
• Level 4 trauma center
• 5 patients per day on average
• Town population of 1800
• All specialties available via telehealth
• Apartment connected to the hospital to catch some sleep in between patients
• Providing and coordinating medical care for patients presenting to the emergency department and for urgent care services
• Cross coverage of hospitalized patients required after hours, weekends and based on scheduling needs.
• Documenting in the patient record
• Comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacological agents and patient education.
• Performs advanced technical procedures including laceration repair, I&D, lumbar puncture, airway stabilization etc.
• Maintains accurate, legible, and confidential medical records.
• Clearly communicate with all caregivers, patients and family to ensure safe, high-quality care is provided
• Focused on patient access as well as patient and family experience.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:
• Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program
• Must have 2+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care/emergency department setting.
• Current Minnesota RN and APRN license (or ability to obtain) and certification as FNP
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification
• Current BLS, ACLS, ATLS or CALS, PALS
• Valid driver’s license
• Background study and pre-employment drug testing required
