Shift times-12-hour shifts 8a-8p
Dates- Starting in June and through September (10-12 shifts per month)
Census- 20 to 30 patients per 24 hours
EMR- EPIC
COVID Vaccine- Not required
Critical access community hospital
· Functions like a level IV trauma center
· Transfers out major trauma to Providence Health center.
· APPS but not on every shift
· 10 – 20%% Admission rate.
· They have General surgery, CRNA, OB/GYN, Ortho, , Radiology, and Peds.
· here is always one Physician in ED.
· Typical bread and butter critical access, rural demands
· Wide variety of cases including Accidents, hypothermia, trauma, infections, strokes, seizures
Census Per Provider: 20 to 30 patients per 24 hours

Specifically, which clinicians are on-site to support the ED physician – 24 hour RT, 8-5pm radiology, orthopedics, general surgery, CRNA (intubation back up), hospitalists, plastic surgery and urology 10 days per month). ED is on the code team and we have the idea of first physician to the patient takes the lead. Hospitalist is on call for admissions (Hold/bridging orders placed overnight for stable patients to facilitate sleep in a team that covers call 24 hours a day, hospitalist will come in for ICU level patients to evaluate and admit).
