Missouri ER Physician Need

Job description

• Phys Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a; 10-hour shifts Mon-Thurs, 12p-10p
• Residency: Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• If IM or FM, they MUST have 2 current years AND currently working in an Emergency Department
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (with the achievement of certification within 5 years) leading to certification in their specialty by the American Board of Medicine (ABEM), Family Medicine (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Board of Medicine (AOBM)
• ABPS – Not accepted
• Emergency Medicine: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), ACLS and PALS required for all. *NO grace period
• Board Certified in EM- MUST be able to show proof that it has been held at least once
• ATLS- required for any EM Board Eligible physician
• Family or Internal Medicine: NIHSS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. *NO grace period
• ATLS is required at ALL times for anyone that is IM or FM.
• Immunizations: PPD/FLU/COVID/TB (TB is for initial appt only)
• CME: 24 months
• CASE LOGS: 24 month
• CV: MUST have ALL hospital affiliations and work experience listed on the CV in Month/Year format for Start and End Dates, including city and state name
• Emergency Department Profile:
o Total Beds: 71
o 17 ED beds, with 7 Fast Track
o Avg Annual ED Visits: 31K-34K
o PPH 3-3.8
o Trauma Designation: Level III
o daily; 10-hour shifts Mon-Thurs & 12-hour shifts Fri-Sun
o 24-hours APP coverage daily; 12-hour shifts
o EMR: Meditech
o 28-hours physician coverage
o Phys Shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a; 10-hour shifts Mon-Thurs, 12p-10p
o 24-hour APP coverage
o APP Shifts: 9a-9p, 12p-12a
o Backup Specialties: Cardiology, ICU, Orthopedic, Pulmonary, Urology, General Surgery, OBGYN, Oncology
o Cancer care—Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute
o Level III Certified Stroke Center
o Level III Certified Trauma Center
o Radiology/imaging services
o Rehabilitation (occupational, physical, speech therapy)
