Emergency Medicine Opportunities in New Mexico

Job description

Arc Health is seeking an adventurous Emergency Medicine locum tenens physicians who are committed to serving underserved communities in New Mexico, have scheduling flexibility, and willing to work in a remote area. This position would begin as soon as credentialed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Staff the Emergency Department
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
Perform comprehensive examinations for adults and children
Participate in quality improvement/patient safety projects
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
Additional requirements:

Must be comfortable working with limited resources
Must be flexible to work in a variety of settings
Committed to rural and underserved healthcare
Compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioner
Board-certified (may be Board-eligible only if just completed residency)
Any state license is accepted
Compensation: $235-260/hour

Arc Health offers services to several tribal IHS facilities located in Arizona and New Mexico on the Albuquerque and Navajo Reservations. The Plateaus and mountains close by, offer opportunities for hiking, backpacking and camping. There are several national mountains and parks within easy driving distance.
