About the clinician's workday

The emergency medicine physician will provide comprehensive emergency medical care during day and night shifts managing 80 patients per day with 11 daily admissions in a renovated 15-bed emergency department. The clinician will work in an inpatient-only setting requiring ED inpatient experience within the last 12 months and must maintain current certifications including ACLS, ATLS, and PALS through AHA for internal medicine or family medicine trained physicians. The position involves utilizing the EPIC EMR system for documentation, managing a total inpatient census of 47 acute patients, and providing coverage for the fast track section operating 12 hours daily. The clinician will work six to twelve 12-hour shifts per month with no call requirements while collaborating with emergency department nursing staff and support personnel.
