Position Summary

Palmeri Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Family Medicine team. The APP will provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient setting, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education.

Spanish-speaking proficiency is strongly preferred to better serve our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages

Perform physical examinations and detailed patient assessments

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and COPD

Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

Prescribe medications in accordance with Kansas state regulations

Provide preventive care, screenings, and health counseling

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care

Ensure compliance with all clinical, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) program

Board Certification (FNP-BC / FNP-C or NCCPA-certified PA-C)

Active and unrestricted Kansas license (APRN or PA)

DEA certification (or eligibility)

Minimum 1–2 years of Family Medicine experience preferred

Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills

Spanish-speaking ability preferred

Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

Work Schedule

Full-Time

Monday – Friday

Outpatient setting

No hospital call (if applicable)
