About the clinician's workday
The nurse practitioner will deliver comprehensive family medicine services to patients in a correctional facility setting, managing 8-15 patients daily during four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with no call requirements. Clinical responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, managing injuries, acute illnesses, follow-ups, physicals, and complicated chronic care patients while providing urgent care services and performing minor procedures. The position requires IM or FM board certification, BLS certification, Washington state licensure, and DEA registration for independent practice within the correctional healthcare delivery framework.
