Job Title: Locum Family Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant - Family Practice
Location: Eureka, CA
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Outpatient
Board Status: Certified
Coverage: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans for patients across the lifespan.
Provide evidence-based primary care to patients in accordance with established clinical guidelines and protocols.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and other appropriate treatments.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records using Epic EMR.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards of care, ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy.
Qualifications:
Current California licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Board certification as an FNP or PA.
Eligible to practice in the state of California.
Proficiency in using Epic EMR is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Strong commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
Prior outpatient clinical experience is a plus.
