Job Title: Locum Physician Family Medicine, Internal Medicine
Location: Arcata, CA 95521
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Outpatient
Coverage: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
Board Status: Certified
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, assessments, and diagnosis for patients of all ages.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, and providing referrals to specialists when necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the Epic EMR system.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, nurse practitioners, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care.
Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures and the management of chronic medical conditions.
Adhere to all established clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality assurance standards.
Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and continuing medical education to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
Provide excellent patient communication, compassion, and empathy to foster a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in California.
Board certification in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine.
Previous experience in outpatient care settings is preferred.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records, specifically Epic, is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
