We are seeking Board-Certified Neonatologists for PRN coverage at hospitals in the DC and Maryland area. This assignment offers flexibility, competitive pay, and the opportunity to provide high-quality NICU care over the holiday season.
Position Highlights
PRN Shifts: 12β24 hours | Needs are greatest in the last 2 weeks of December
Level 2 & Level 3 NICUs | Census ranges from 6β24 patients
~3,500 deliveries annually | Nitric oxide and high-frequency ventilation support available
EMR: Cerner
No call responsibilities
IMLC licenses accepted
Responsibilities
Attend deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation
Manage patients in both Level 2 and Level 3 NICUs
Perform procedures including intubations and umbilical lines
Collaborate with other neonatologists (2 by day, 1 by night at Level 3 NICU sites)
Requirements
Board Certification in Neonatology
NRP Certification required
Minimum of 3 years recent Level 2 or 3 NICU experience
Comfortable with resuscitation, procedures, and newborn management
No NIB care certification required
