The facility provides specialized psychiatric care to a forensic population and is currently experiencing staffing shortages requiring independent clinician operation.

About the clinician's workday

The clinician will provide individual callouts to a diverse forensic population working 24 hours per week on a flexible Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM. The role requires collaboration with DOCCS medical staff and attendance at bimonthly Joint medical meetings while maintaining self-sufficiency in tasks typically handled by support staff including scheduling callouts and faxing prescriptions. Computer literacy and Microsoft Word proficiency are essential for documentation in this fast-paced environment that requires adherence to both DOCCS and OMH rules.
