As an independent contractor clinician at Teladoc Health, you will be in the centerfold of progressive thinking, empowerment, and cultivating connections. Our contractor clinicians provide evidence-based treatment via telephone or video. Teamwork is especially important to us at Teladoc Health, and each clinician works with a practice manager, clinical director, and has access to resources and support. Must be able to work in an unsupervised capacity.

Are you passionate about supporting mental health and ready to make a difference at scale? Teladoc Health, a global leader in virtual care, is expanding its network of independent Mental Health Therapists to meet growing demand for high-quality, accessible care—anytime, anywhere.



We are currently seeking licensed therapists in one of the following states: California, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania or Georgia (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to provide virtual mental health services on a 1099 contract basis. As a contracted provider, you’ll work independently, set your own schedule, and use your clinical expertise to help clients thrive—supported by Teladoc’s technology and infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities (as an Independent Contractor)

Deliver individual therapy sessions virtually (via secure video and phone), focusing on adolescent and adult populations.

Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable legal and ethical standards.

Coordinate with Teladoc’s support teams as needed to facilitate client care and resolve technical issues.

Exercise independent clinical judgment to manage client care in a remote setting.



Requirements

Minimum of 3 years post-licensure experience providing therapy in an unsupervised, independent practice setting.

Active, unrestricted license in one of the following states: California, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania or Georgia, as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Experience working with clients managing PTSD, depression, anxiety, or trauma-related conditions.

Strong clinical skills and ability to operate autonomously in a telehealth environment.

Proficient in using EHR systems and telehealth platforms.

Willingness to obtain additional state licenses (Teladoc will support and fund license expansion).

The compensation for this role pays $65/visit ($75/visit for CA based therapist)
