Job Title: Locum Physician Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Board Status: Certified
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
Practice Setting: Outpatient

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide expert medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in an outpatient setting, with a focus on Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
EMR Utilization: Efficiently and accurately document patient information and treatment plans using the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure optimal patient care and a seamless patient experience.
Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic tests, procedures, and imaging studies as needed within the scope of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Compliance: Adhere to all medical ethics, legal, and regulatory guidelines to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
Quality Improvement: Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of healthcare services.

Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Georgia.
Current DEA registration for controlled substances.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using Epic EMR system is preferred.
Availability for scheduled clinical hours as per the practice's needs.
