GI Locums - must be fellowship-trained in Advanced Endoscopy

Job description

Seeking a board certified Gastroenterologist to provide locums coverage for a practice located in eastern North Carolina, about 90 minutes from Raleigh. Fellowship training in Advanced Endoscopy is required. Locums provider should be proficient in EUS and ERCP.

* Coverage Needed: 1 week per month starting January 2024 - Ongoing 
* Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p (Please let me know if you can provide any coverage during this time)
* Travel, lodging and malpractice insurance covered by the hospital 
 
Details
* Established practice with 5 experienced gastroenterologists and 1 Nurse Practitioner
* Anticipated volume: 5-8 procedures per day
* Procedures are typically Mon-Fri 8a-5p
* 4 procedure rooms
* Hospitalist handle admissions-GI team is a consult service
* GI Fellow takes first call 24 hours per day
* Some advanced GI night and weekend call when needed-can be done from home
* Procedures will include  ERCP, EGD, Colonoscopy, and EUS
* State of the art outpatient endoscopy center and newly renovated inpatient GI lab inclusive of 20 bays and 3 procedure rooms
* New high definition scopes and fluoroscopy equipment
* BLS and ACLS required
* Provider will not respond to codes
* Average inpatient census: 4
