Registered Nurse (Operating Room – General) – Selma, AL | $41/hr | Per-Diem (#SM0006)

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Per-Diem Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care in the Operating Room (OR) at a medical center in Selma, AL. This role offers flexible scheduling, immediate access to open shifts, and the opportunity to work with a skilled, collaborative surgical team.

✅ Qualifications
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
✔️ Active, unencumbered Alabama RN License
✔️ Minimum of 6 months RN work experience
✔️ CPR Certification (BLS preferred)
✔️ Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, cultural competency, adaptability, and positive attitude
✔️ Credentialing Requirements: Clean background check, negative TB test, annual physical, COVID-19 vaccination, and other facility/agency requirements

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Function as a Circulating Nurse to manage overall nursing care in the OR, maintaining a safe, sterile environment
✔️ Perform and document preoperative patient assessments, verify consents and surgical site, and provide emotional support
✔️ Coordinate the surgical team, equipment, and supplies before and during procedures, anticipating needs of the surgeon and anesthesiologist
✔️ Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and sterile field principles throughout surgery
✔️ Accurately account for instruments, sponges, and needles and assist in safe patient transfer to postoperative recovery
