✅ Qualifications
✔️ NYS Registered Dietitian license
✔️ Graduate of a registered professional dietitian program
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
✔️ Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical facility (nursing home preferred)
✔️ Experience in nursing home surveillance (2 years preferred)
✔️ SMQT Certification preferred (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Conduct surveys and complaint investigations, including abuse/neglect cases
✔️ Perform surveillance in long-term care facilities for federal/state compliance
✔️ Draft Statements of Deficiencies (SOD) using Principles of Documentation
✔️ Review and assess Plan of Correction compliance
✔️ Enter data into federal and state databases
✔️ Participate in Immediate Jeopardy monitoring and testify in hearings when needed
✔️ Attend meetings, follow DOH policies, and travel to site locations as scheduled
