Registered Nurse – Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator – Syracuse, NY (#25313)

✅ Qualifications
✔️ Nursing degree; BSN preferred
✔️ Active NY State RN license
✔️ 2+ years in utilization review, claims adjudication, medical review, fraud investigation, or monitoring OR
✔️ 3+ years of clinical/administrative experience OR
✔️ BSN + 2 years of clinical/administrative experience
✔️ SMQT Certification preferred (must obtain within 12 months)
✔️ Strong communication, investigative, and analytical skills
✔️ Ability to travel to onsite facilities

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Conduct nursing home surveys and complaint investigations
✔️ Assess compliance with federal and state regulations
✔️ Document findings and draft Statements of Deficiencies (SOD)
✔️ Monitor corrective action plans
✔️ Participate in state monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy situations
✔️ Testify in administrative hearings as needed
✔️ Ensure adherence to DOH schedules, policies, and procedures
