Premier Service of Carolina, Inc. is a non-hospital inpatient Physicatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) providing services for children and adolescents ages 6-17 who have mental health needs and developmental disabilities.

Our consumers learn healthy coping skills and therapeutic techniques, how to address trauma, and how to safely integrate into their communities.

We cannot compete with pay at hospitals due to Covid, but you will only be doing 20-25% of the work.

This is a great step-down job or wanting to add Pediatrics and/or Psychiatry to your resume. We average 10 kids at a time.

SUMMARY

Registered Nurses will provide on-site coverage of a 12-bed adolescent PRTF The Nurse is responsible for oversight and provision of medication administration and medication monitoring; oversight and coordination of physical health of residents; provision of metabolic screenings; vitals; restraint oversight and following assessments and collaboration with PRTF team including psychiatrist.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Successful completion of RN program and an active NC- RN license in good standing.

· At least 1-year experience in behavior health care is recommended, however not required.

· Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective, cooperative, and productive work relationships with clients, internal and external personnel.

TRAINING and COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: (Most provided by employer)

1. CPR/First Aid, including Seizure Management

2. Confidentiality/HIPAA

3. Client Rights

4. Blood Borne Pathogens

5. EBPI and other state or LME required trainings specific to the role of the Registered Nurse
