Job description

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking two experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join a premier surgical team at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Richland, Washington. This is a supplemental, full-time locum tenens opportunity within a high-functioning, 326-bed acute care hospital.

Job Overview
Specialty: PA/NP - General Surgery / Trauma

Location: Richland, WA

Schedule: 7 on / 7 off rotation (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only (No call)

Patient Load: Approximately 20 encounters per shift

Patient Mix: 80% Adult / 20% Peds (50% Trauma cases)

EMR: Epic

Clinical & Surgical Scope
This role is 90% hospital-based and 10% clinic-based, focusing on trauma and general surgery support.

Surgical Assisting: Serve as the Surgical First Assist for both Adult and Pediatric cases.

Environment: Level 2 Trauma Center supported by 6 physicians and 6 APPs.

Responsibilities: Managing inpatient rounding, trauma admits, and surgical assisting in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
Certification: Board Certified PA or NP with Trauma ORFA experience.

Certifications Required: ACLS and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support).

Skills: Must be verified and competent in performing Pediatric surgical assisting.

Licensure: Active Washington (WA) license is required. (Client is not willing to wait for licensure).

Credentials: Active DEA required.

Facility & Compensation
Setting: 326-bed Acute Care Hospital.

Pay Detail: Overtime (OT) is applied after 12 hours per day.
