Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced General Surgery Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing assignment in Northern New York, supporting a Level III trauma service with both OR and inpatient responsibilities.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• End Date: Ongoing (6-month commitment)
• Schedule Options:
• Monday–Friday, 7:00a–3:00p
• Monday–Thursday, 7:00a–5:00p

Work Details
• Patient Load: 10–15 patients per day
• Trauma Level: Level III
• First assist in the operating room
• Floor coverage as needed
• Surgical Focus: General surgery, Robotic surgery, Orthopedic exposure is a plus
• Weekend rounding and call nights as needed to cover gaps
• EMR/Charting: Epic (recent experience required)

Practice Setting
• Hospital

Requirements
• Board Certification: Required
• State License: Active New York license (in hand)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent NP experience
• Trauma Experience: Required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Skills: General and robotic surgery experience required
