Job Title: RN House Supervisor
Location: Clarkston, WA
Job Type: Full-Time, Day Shift (6am - 6:30pm), Rotating Every 3rd Weekend

Overview:
Seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a House Supervisor. This pivotal role involves supervising, directing, and coordinating patient care activities throughout the hospital during assigned shifts. The House Supervisor ensures optimal staffing by assigning department personnel based on patient acuity and census and provides administrative support in the absence of departmental managers. This position requires exceptional skills in delegation, decision making, critical thinking, and communication.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all patient care activities across the hospital during assigned shifts.
Assign nursing and support staff based on patient needs and census levels.
Provide administrative support across departments in the absence of managers.
Coordinate resources for effective patient care delivery.
Offer guidance and support to on-duty personnel to ensure high standards of patient care.
Maintain a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in inpatient units and lower ratios for critical care patients (2:1 or 1:1).

Shifts:
Day shift: 6am - 6:30pm
Rotating every 3rd weekend
Variable weekdays with clustered shifts to support work-life balance
No on-call requirements
Qualifications:
Current Washington State RN license or NLC eligibility.
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
PALS and ALS certifications.
Minimum of 5 years of acute care experience required.
Leadership experience preferred.
Experience with incident command, staffing/productivity management, and internal hospital functions is highly beneficial.

  • Leadership & Coordination: Supervise and coordinate patient care activities across the hospital, ensuring optimal staff assignment based on patient acuity and census. Provide administrative support in the absence of departmental managers.
  • Skill Development & Guidance: Promote a culture of safety and excellence in patient care by guiding and mentoring nursing staff. Utilize critical thinking and effective communication to facilitate resource allocation and problem-solving.
  • Compensation & Certification: Enjoy a $5.00 hourly differential with additional $1.00 for BSN/MSN qualifications. Maintain required certifications: Current Washington State RN license or NLC eligible, BLS/CPR, PALS, and ALS. Minimum 5 years of acute care experience needed; leadership experience preferred.
