Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Physician Assistant (PA) with experience in General Surgery to join our healthcare team in Modesto, CA. In this role, you will provide call-only coverage in an inpatient setting, assisting in the care of surgical patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical care and be proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Athena and Cerner.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive and high-quality care to surgical patients in an inpatient setting.
Assist in the evaluation and management of surgical cases.
Perform pre-operative assessments, post-operative care, and wound management.
Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Participate in call coverage for General Surgery cases, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Respond promptly to surgical consults and emergencies.
Provide timely assessments and interventions for patients in need of surgical care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) using Athena and Cerner systems.
Ensure all patient information, treatment details, and orders are documented in compliance with established protocols.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current California state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
