About the clinician's workday

The clinician will provide comprehensive general surgery services with 24-hour call coverage across inpatient, clinic, and operating room settings at a Level IV trauma facility. Required procedures include abdominal, endoscopy, liver, stomach, gallbladder, appendix, colon, laparoscopy, and spleen cases, with preference for clinicians experienced in pediatrics, thyroid, pulmonary, and vascular procedures. Amputations, C-sections, hysterectomies, and respirator care are not required for this assignment. The average daily census is 15 patients, with an average of 0 to 5 general surgery patients per 24-hour call period.
