++General Surgeon Needed in Southern Virginia for Call Coverage++

Job description

We are working with a hospital in southern Virginia that is needing a General Surgeon for call coverage:

Specialty: General Surgeon
Setting: Inpatient
Start Date: July - ongoing
Requirements: BC GS, VA license, DEA, BLS, ACLS
Pay: $2000/24 hr + $250/hr call back after 2 hrs of gratis + travel/lodging + malpractice insurance
Schedule: 24 hr call coverage….specific dates below

 July 14 (7a) – 25 (7a)
 August 11 (7a) – 17 (7a)
 September 1 (7a) – Sept 7 (7a)
 September 21 (7a) – 25 (7a)
 November 22 (7a) – Nov 28 (7a)
 December 21 (7a) – Jan 3 (7a)
 Additional coverage will be needed in 2024


Call: yes
Patient Load/Age: 0-3 patients per day...0-1 admit per day
Procedures: all general GS cases (endos required)
EMR: MediTech
COVID vax needed: yes
Credentialing timeframe: 30 – 60 days
