JOB DETAILS
Admissions Department
Full-Time Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm
In-patient
Geriatric Patients
Up to 10 patients/day
19 bed Admissions Department. Duties shared with LT Psychiatrist. Unit used for stabilization before move to other units
1-2 admissions/day to unit. Have seen as many as 4. If discharged while still in the department, they will be responsible for the discharge if assigned to the patient.
They treat: Psychosis, Bi-Polar Disorder, Dementia, Anxiety. Some admissions can be Forensic from Jails to establish competency.
Patients mostly spend 2 weeks in the Admissions unit.
Support: 3 Psychiatrist and 1 other NP in the Hospital. They use PC Physicians for medical care.
Unit has RNs, LPNs and Aides,
