Hourly Rate: $150.00 (+ $10 differential for 24/7 on-call availability)

✅ Qualifications
✔️ MD or DO from an accredited institution
✔️ Active and unrestricted Texas medical license
✔️ Board Certified in Psychiatry (required)
✔️ Experience in correctional and forensic psychiatry (required)
✔️ Proficiency in EMR systems
✔️ Excellent communication, decision-making, and crisis management skills

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Evaluate inmates and manage psychiatric treatment plans
✔️ Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications (formulary and non-formulary)
✔️ Maintain detailed and compliant documentation in EMR
✔️ Develop standing orders for psychiatric protocols
✔️ Participate in virtual court hearings for psychoactive medication orders
✔️ Provide phone consultation and remote care for 24/7 on-call needs
