The facility maintains strong interdisciplinary relationships with Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Pathology, and Radiology, supported by oncology navigators, clinical trials staff, social work, and financial assistance personnel. On-site resources include PET CT imaging and a hematology laboratory, with specialized testing available through send-out services.

These destinations provide accessible leisure options throughout the duration of an assignment.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide hematology and oncology coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with staggered hours in which one clinician remains on-site until 6:00 PM. The role includes inpatient consult coverage with 24/7 physician backup and participation in weekly and monthly tumor conferences, including Breast, Thoracic, GU, and GYN Tumor Boards. Clinical documentation is maintained through the Varian documentation system with dragon dictation and electronic order entry; on-site resources include PET CT and a hematology laboratory with chemistries, urine, iSTAT creatinine, HCGs, Mags, Uric Acid, Phosphorus, and LDH. An intensive onboarding program is provided to support transition into the role.
