About the clinician's workday

The physician associate will provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care during day shifts. Clinical responsibilities include providing care for hematology oncology patients exhibiting symptoms related to acute side effects of chemotherapy such as nausea, vomiting, dehydration, and fever. The clinician will respond to patients who experience medication reactions in nearby infusion suite but will not respond to codes. The position requires prescriptive authority and involves managing 12-14 patients per day with no critical care responsibilities.
