Hematologist/Oncologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Inpatient and Clinic in California

This cancer center is located at the hospital, providing specialized hematology and oncology services across inpatient and clinic settings. The facility maintains a coordinated clinical team that includes five hematology/oncology physicians, two to three nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and full office staff. Emergency privileges are available to support comprehensive patient care delivery.

About the clinician's workday

The hematologist/oncologist will provide inpatient and clinic hematology and oncology coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, managing 20 patients per day. Call coverage is required at a 1:5 ratio, encompassing weeknight and weekend 24-hour call responsibilities. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the Epic EMR system, with transition to Epic scheduled for the end of August. Board certification in Medical Oncology and an active California license are mandatory requirements for this assignment.
