Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
Patients Per Shift: 16
Responsibilities:
Conduct outpatient consultations, examinations, and assessments for patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders.
Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Utilize the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, imaging studies, and pathology reports.
Provide patient education regarding treatment options, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and support staff to optimize patient care coordination.
Maintain compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and ethical guidelines.
Participate in regular team meetings, case discussions, and continuing medical education activities.
Adhere to scheduled clinical hours, ensuring efficient patient flow and timely delivery of care.
Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and stay abreast of advancements in the field of Hematology and Oncology.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Hematology and Oncology.
Valid medical license in the state of Missouri.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Proficiency in using the Epic EMR system.
Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Availability to cover scheduled clinical hours.
