Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician – North Carolina

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology or Oncology Physician to join an established Ambulatory Hem/Onc Clinic in North Carolina. This position focuses primarily on benign hematology and offers excellent clinical and administrative support in a collaborative environment.

Position Details:

Patient Load: Minimum 15 hematology patients per day (no oncology-only panels)

Setting: Inpatient facility (bed size TBD)

Support Staff: Nurses, Navigator, Admin Support, Pharmacy, 1–2 Physicians, APPs, and Infusion Specialist

Responsibilities: See new and follow-up patients, write orders/prescriptions, coordinate with pharmacy, and manage standard hematology/oncology cases

Focus Areas: Benign Hematology and Bread-and-Butter Hem/Onc

EMR: EPIC (assessment required prior to start)

Requirements:

Board Certified in Hematology or Oncology (dual certification preferred)

Active North Carolina license and DEA

BLS certification

2–3 years of experience minimum

Credentialing: 60–90 days

Travel: Flight, rental car, and lodging provided
